DRIVING MULTI-STAKEHOLDER PARTNERSHIPS


WHAT IT IS: This is your on-ramp to kick-starting a social innovation. Our Academy is an interactive proving ground to quickly learn, test, and develop concrete skills and plans for tackling society’s tough challenges. Become certified as a Master Collaborator capable of:

  • Leading your colleagues through the CollaborateUp Formula for social innovation
  • Developing Lean Startup social innovations
  • Convening and facilitating large groups of people from multiple organizations/sectors
  • Creating one-page business plans that capture everything you need to get out in the world and start collaborating to tackle our toughest problems
  • Designing experiments that prove the business case for your social innovation

WHO’S ATTENDING: Action-oriented social entrepreneurs & intrapreneurs from companies, nonprofits, and governments.

FACILITATION SKILLS TRAINING


Bringing groups of people together can be a challenging and frustrating experience. This is why many of us struggle to hold decent staff meetings, never mind conduct the kind of gatherings that generate great thinking and co-create new possibilities. Fortunately, there are proven methods to lead more effective group meetings. This half- or one-day course will give participants hands-on experience and insights into the principles and techniques they can use to more effectively facilitate groups and meetings.

WHAT IT IS: This course focuses on three areas: the group, the facilitation process, and you, the facilitator. Course outcomes:

  • Develop an appreciation for facilitation as a management and leadership competency.
  • Derive understanding of group dynamics and why a group works, or does not work.
  • Learn the facilitation process.
  • Learn models and theories to make a group more effective.
  • Identify and develop skills as effective group facilitators.
  • Practice facilitation skills.

TRAIN-THE-TRAINER


WHAT IT IS: Your opportunity to learn the in's and out's of how we run the above workshops so that you can bring both courses back to your own organization. We designed this training to ensure that participants coming from any field or organization can share our tools and best practices for collaboration in a workshop setting. At the conclusion of the experience, participants will leave with:

  • Knowledge of how to prepare for and design workshops that produce results
  • Resources and a “tool kit” to draw from including exercises, tools, and techniques 
  • An opportunity to practice and build confidence both during and shortly after the workshop

* Participants must have completed both Facilitation Skills Training and CollaborateUp Academy as pre-requistes for this course
